Relay Teams
Participants can register as a team. In the team race, one person will do each part of the race. Teams can consist of 2 or 3 members. If the team is made of 2 members, one person will do two parts of the race (ex: swim and run). After each leg of the race, the team member finishing will tag the next racer in the transition area. Once tagged, that team member may leave the transition area and begin the next part of the race. Teams can do any combination of legs, but each leg must be completed by only one person. ONE person should register the entire relay team but all team members must sign waivers at the event. Each member will receive a shirt if selected at check out.
All team members must wear the race number except the swimmer if you are doing the triathlon. Each team member will have a timing chip. Teams must tag off in the designated area of transition. Physical contact must be made. High-Fives and fist bumps are encouraged and feel free to bring your matching outfits! :-)
Decided to do the team thing? Now for the hard part… Coming up with an AWESOME TEAM NAME!
Team example:
Sally begins the race in the pool. She swims her 500 meters and then runs to the transition and tags Tommy. Tommy, already in his biking gear, begins the bike course. Upon his return, he tags Kimmy. Kimmy, running shoes on, runs out of transition and onto the run course. Sally and Tommy both make their way to the run course near the finish area. Since Kimmy will run 2 laps, Tommy and Sally can cheer her on every lap and then meet her at the finishline. Go team STK!
When registering your team, you will need to know your team members first and last names, email address and shirt size/color. Shirts are unisex sizing. Your teammates will receive an email to complete their information including address, phone, emergency contact etc. One person will pay for the whole team.
